ELSIE DUEY It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Elsie on November 10, 2006 at Maples Personal Care Home. She was predeceased by her loving husband Louis in 1990, her parents Karl and Anna and her older brothers, Ignace, Max and August. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Linda and her husband Don Edel and her grandchildren, Lisa, Laura and Mark (Marivic), as well as her sisters-in-law and her nephews and nieces. Elsie was born in Golden Bay, MB on October 20, 1918. She married Louis on October 16, 1937. They had a good relationship and together they operated Duey's Hardware in West Kildonan until 1977 when they retired. Service for Elsie will be held on Wednesday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Zion Lutheran Church, 2903 McPhillips Street. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Amber Meadows where she resided for six enjoyable years. We are especially grateful to the home care staff that helped Elsie while she resided at Amber Meadows, and to the nurses and staff of Seven Oaks Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elsie may be made to Seven Oaks General Hospital Emergency Fund or St. Luke's Zion Lutheran Church. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
